Lower your monthly spending, and improve on services at the same time.
Television, phone, mobile phone, internet access… so many service providers. Which provider has the best service? Which has the best value? Which is most reliable? Most importantly which is right for you? Are there any alternatives?
Solutions will consult with you to determine what your specific needs are, suggest a number of options to fit those needs, and perhaps introduce some new concepts to get the most value for your money.
TELEPHONE vs VOIP
VOIP (or Voice Over Internet Protocol) has become more common amongst almost all the major providers, and you should already be on some sort of service plan. By using the Internet to ‘cut out the middle-man’ of kilometers of network phone cable, there really is no need to pay ‘long distance rates’ anymore, especially for any calls within North America.

Utilizing one of the largest, and ironically the cheapest, providers Skype, and an adapter connected to your PC or a new phone, you can add a second line, or with a little ingenuity, replace your landline for potentially less than $3 per month. Intergrate it into your existing system with some extensions and plugins with the right accessories, and you’ve got free calls and video conferencing from a number of gadgets both at home and at work, potentially anywhere in the world.
Tie it into your mobile phone, and the phone providers ‘my5′ or similar promotion, and you’ll never pay for long distance again.
TELEVISION vs INTERNET TV

Instead of paying the cable company for programs bought from a network affiliate who buys it from the network…what if we went straight to the source and got it for free and legally on the Internet?
Now is an interesting time to look into this potentially groundbreaking new media. The technology, demand and support for this idea have all finally met, and the concept has become reality.
The major networks make all their ‘big shows’ available on their websites. Broadcast shows are ‘rebroadcast’ by fans on the Internet. And most importantly emerging stars from YouTube and similar video sites have added a new dimension to what we consider ‘TV’. There is actually more content available legally and for free on the Internet from all around the world than you could ever even realistically hope to watch. From all the shows from new and old ‘traditional TV’ to instant on-demand movies in Blu-Ray HD quality, to a whole new generation of home-grown talent, and potentially all of it in High Definition, you may ask yourself why you’re paying so much a month for a bunch of channels you never watch.
The most difficult parts of the process are two basic points.
a) The Concept - You have to break 50 years of conditioning of ‘what’s on TV’ or ‘catching it’ on your DVR, and realize that everything is available on a by demand basis. It’s more tricky than it sounds, if you think about it.
b) The Amount - with the staggering amount of content available, it takes some ingenuity to automate the little details, get all the content organized and where you want it (potentially any screen in your house), and to make it all as easy to access as possible with the use of an ordinary remote or video game controller.

We are currently working on a prototype to bring all of these ideas into one central system, which is in and of itself a new state-of-the-art computer system which uses 1/3 the power consumption and is a media, gaming and communications hub for your whole home.
